The Cairns Children’s Museum is bringing the Museum to you highlighting National Science Week (August 15-23)! This year’s theme is “The Deep Blue”. Please join us this Thursday, August 20 for COVID safe activities in centre court.
Enjoy talks, demonstrations by CCM, NQ Life Saving, Turtle Rehab Centre and Cairns Aquarium and activities for the whole family!
Enjoy self-guided activities including a scavenger hunt available throughout the week, as well as structured activities on Thursday, August 20.

It’s a ripper to be a nipper and part of a Surf Life Saving club
- Discover what nippers do when they are on the beach and in the water
- Fun flag and signal challenge
- Go slip, slop, slap, seek for sun safety
- Learn your water safety signals
- See a jellyfish close up

Each session will run for ~ 45 min will include an introduction (story, experiment, short video)
50 packs available for each activity.

Cairns Children’s Museum (CCM) is a not for profit organisation, registered
