Naidoc Week Celebrations

We are joining in on the NAIDOC Week celebrations that are held across Australia to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC is celebrated not only in Aboriginal communities, but by Australians from all walks of life.

This FREE event will include traditional Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural show, children’s art activities and more.

Saturday July 13

10:00am – Opening *Welcome to country with traditional Aboriginal song and didgeridoo.

10:00am – 2:00pm *Cultural workshop/Arts and Crafts

11:00am – 12 noon Face Painting

1:00pm – 1:30pm Storytime

1:30pm – Interactive Indigenous Dance performance

Aboriginal and Torres strait Islander presentation of song & dance.

2:00pm- closing

 

*NOTE! All Cultural awareness workshops/Activities(as below) contain entertaining and informative information.
