What does Australia Day mean to you?
There are so many ways you could spend Australia Day and we’re about to let you in on some great local things you can get up to in beautiful Far North Queensland.
You could spend the day playing beach Cricket at one of our fantastic beaches from Palm Cove to Yorkey’s Knob. Enjoy your very own big bash league.
Spend the day at home with friends, neighbours and family and have a world of fun with water bomb fights, grab a Frisbee, spend some time in the pool or perhaps help Mum and Dad with a delicious BBQ lunch.
Australia Day is all about celebrating Australia, our lady, our culture and the true meaning of being Australian. We know that it is nearing the end of the school holidays here in Cairns and no doubt the kids are after some exciting this to do after expressing that they are bored and that there is nothing to do.
For the less adventurous, perhaps you would like to bake some treats, maybe Anzac biscuits or something a little more traditional in lamingtons.
Whilst you’re at it, make sure you take a quick snap of all the fun, upload your pic to Facebook or Instagram before January 31 for the chance to WIN 1 of 4 Prize Packs. Make sure you use hashtag #mspaustraliaday for your entry to be valid. (ensure your profile is on private)
So why not take Australia Day as a day to get the kids outside and involved in some authentic Aussie games and activities.
