WIN your family the ultimate Cairns Show experience! We have 3 Family Passes to the 2024 Cairns Show to be won, with 3 lucky children selected from those winning entries to light up the sky for Cairns by launching the FIREWORKS from inside the Main Arena!
To enter:
1. Spend $20 or more in any Mt Sheridan Plaza store in one transaction during the competition promotion period from 9am on June 17 until 12noon on July 11, 2024.
2. Complete the online entry form (open from 9am on June 17) by uploading a photo of your receipt, and nominating your child/children (must be aged 5-17 ) to go in the running to launch the fireworks.
Eligibility:
All persons aged 18 and over who live in the Cairns Regional Council catchment area who do not work at Mt Sheridan Plaza are deemed eligible. Entrants must provide proof of purchase on their entry form. Entrants can only nominate a child/children they are legally responsible for to launch the Fireworks.
The winners will be notified by phone on July 11 and announced on our Facebook page. See T&Cs below.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
The Promoter of this competition is Mt Sheridan Plaza, ABN 68 266146 096, in partnership with the Cairns Show Association.
By entering into this competition you are agreeing to these Terms & Conditions.
Persons 18 and over living in the Cairns Regional Council catchment area can enter one time during the competition period which ends at 12 noon, July 11, 2024.
Persons working at Mt Sheridan Plaza are deemed ineligible.
Persons can enter once during the promotional period. Multiple entries will be removed from the system.
Entrants can only enter the child/children they are responsible for (or have approval from parents), and who are aged between 5 -17 years old. Please only enter children who can tolerate crowds, loud sounds, and lights, and agree to be photographed for social media by the Cairns Show.
3 winners will be randomly selected using a number generator.
The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to request verification of the age, identity, residential address, or any other information relevant to participation in the Competition of all entrants. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who provides false information or fails to provide information reasonably requested by the Promoter.
The Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to refuse to accept entries that are incomplete, indecipherable, offensive, do not comply with these terms and conditions, or contravene any applicable laws or regulations. The eligibility of entries is solely within the discretion of the Promoter.
The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost, misdirected, or damaged entries or other communications.
If a winner cannot be contacted within 24 hours by phone, another winner will be selected, and so forth until 3 winners are selected.
If a winner is deemed ineligible, another winner will be chosen, and so forth until 3 winners are selected.
Each winner agrees to participate and cooperate, as required, in all publicity activities relating to the Competition, including, without limitation, being interviewed, photographed, filmed, and recorded by the Promoter or Cairns Show Association.
Each winner will receive 1 x Family Pass to the Cairns Show valid for Wednesday 17th, Thursday 18th or Friday 19th of July 2024. The child selected to launch the Fireworks will be advised at this time. Contact information provided on these winning entries will be passed on to the Cairns Show Association for the Competition.
Winners can collect their entry passes from Mt Sheridan Plaza Centre Management during opening hours and must sign a prize form.
Fireworks are held around 8.30 pm on Wednesday, and 9 pm on Thursday and Friday. Please note the times may vary depending on the progression of the main arena entertainment program.
Winners and their parent/guardian must arrive at the main arena ring at least 15 minutes before the fireworks are scheduled. The Ring Steward will guide the child and parent into the ring where the fireworks are held. There will be a short countdown and then the winner will press the button to launch the fireworks.
Closed-in shoes must be worn to enter the main arena. We recommend children wear ear muffs as it is loud in the arena.
The Cairns Show Association reserves the right to take photos of the winners and use them on their social media pages without compensation.
Data provided on entry forms will be used by the Promoter for marketing purposes. If you wish for your data to be removed from our database, please contact Centre Management.
The Promoter is not liable for any issue, injury, or dissatisfaction arising from the prize, and the Promoter will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to direct or consequential loss) or any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with this promotion and prize, except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
The Promoter reserves the right to vary the terms of, or cancel, the Competition at any time without liability to any entrant or other person, subject to applicable laws. Should the Promoter cancel the Promotion the Promoter will:
(a) advertise that the Promotion has been canceled by placing a notice on the Promotion’s website and Facebook page
(b) promptly destroy all entries received; and
(c) not use the personal information that any Participant has provided on the entry form.
