Orchid Show

See over 100 of the region’s most spectacular orchids in full bloom at the annual North Queensland Orchid Society’s Orchid Show at Mt Sheridan Plaza in Centre Court on May 10, 11 & 12.

Growers from all over North Queensland participate as expert judges from across the State attend on Friday morning to award the best orchids, which will then stay on display for the weekend for everyone to enjoy.

Orchids (seedlings and plants) will be available for purchase over the 4-day event, with some of the most incredible orchids featured as prizes in their raffle.  With Mother’s Day falling on the Sunday of the event, this is the perfect opportunity to find a special gift for mum.

Society members will be available daily to answer questions and provide expert advice and tips to help people care for their orchids properly, promoting long-lasting blooms. They also have a book written by society members on orchids for the tropics available for purchase.

There will be live demonstrations taking place several times over the 4 days (details coming soon).
