WIN your child the ultimate experience to hit the button and launch the fireworks at the 2023 Cairns Show!

3 lucky winners aged between 5-17 will WIN a FREE FAMILY PASS (4 tickets) to the Cairns Show on either Wednesday 19th, Thursday 20th or Friday 21st of July – AND get to LAUNCH THE FIREWORKS that evening to light up the sky for Cairns!

To enter, visit Kaisercraft, Newspower or Tazmyrtle Designs at Mt Sheridan Plaza and find the Light up the Sky QR code at the counter. Use your camera to scan the QR and fill in the online form and click submit. Your child/children must be aged between 5-17 to be eligible. We will draw the winners when the competition ends at 12noon on July 14, 2023. Winners will be announced on the Mt Sheridan Plaza Facebook page using children’s first names and first letter of their surname after winners have all been contacted.

Mt Sheridan Plaza will draw winners using a random generator, and parents/guardians will be contacted using the phone number provided and can collect their prize from Centre Management. The Cairns Show will contact parents to organise logistics . Please see the T&Cs below.

The Cairns Show’s Fireworks Terms and Conditions:

By entering into this competition you are agreeing to these Terms & Conditions.
Parents/guardians can enter one time during the competition period which ends at 12noon, July 14, 2023.  
Parents/guardians can only enter children they are directly responsible for, and who are aged between 5 -17 years old. Please only enter children who can tolerate crowds, loud sounds, lights, and agree to being photographed for social media by the Cairns Show.
3 winners will be randomly selected using a number generator. Each receive 1 x Family Pass to the Cairns Show valid for either Wednesday 19th, Thursday 20th or Friday 21st of July 2023. Passes can be collected from Mt Sheridan Plaza Centre Management during opening hours and parent/guardians must sign a prize form.
Fireworks are held around 8.30pm on Wednesday, and 9pm on Thursday and Friday. Please note the times may vary depending on the progression of the main arena entertainment program.
Winners and their parent/guardian must arrive at the main arena ring at least 15 minutes before the fireworks are scheduled. The Ring Steward will guide the child and parent into the ring where the fireworks are held.  There will be a short countdown and then the winner will press the button to launch the fireworks.
Closed in shoes must be worn in order to enter the main arena. It is recommend children bring ear muffs as it is very loud in the arena.
The Cairns Show reserves the right to take photos of the winners and use it on their social media pages without any compensation.
The winners’ contact information from the form will be passed on to Cairns Show operators to organise with parents on logistics.
Any issues surrounding this competition will be directed to the Cairns Show.
Data provided on entry forms will be used by the Promoter for marketing purposes.
