Mt Sheridan Plaza is hosting the North Queensland Orchid Society’s annual Orchid Show in May from the 9 -12th in Centre Court.

Members of the public have a close-up view of over 100 of the region’s most spectacular orchids in full bloom with growers from all over North Queensland participating as expert judges from across the State attend on Friday morning to award the best orchids, which will then stay on display for the weekend for everyone to enjoy.

Orchids (seedlings and plants) will be available for purchase over the 4-day event, with some of the most incredible orchids featured as prizes in their raffle.  With Mother’s Day falling on the Sunday of the event, this is the perfect opportunity to find a special gift for Mum.

Society members will be available daily to answer questions and provide expert advice and tips to help people care for their orchids properly, promoting long-lasting blooms. They also have a book written by society members on orchids for the tropics available for purchase.

There will be live demonstrations taking place several times over the 4 days (details coming soon).
