Rewarding Early Shoppers. Supporting Local Business

With 2020 presenting a range of unexpected challenges including the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s been difficult for Cairns residents to remain organised and plan for family events.

Businesses across Cairns and Queensland have faced new challenges with social distancing and reduced traffic through their doors. Mount Sheridan Plaza believe that early, planned Christmas shopping would be a great idea this year to avoid the usual Christmas crowds.

To reward early-bird Christmas-shoppers and support local businesses in the lead up to this Christmas, Mount Sheridan Plaza is offering customers a free, reusable tote bag with any purchase made from a specialty retailer throughout November at participating retailers. Customers can shop at Mount Sheridan Plaza specialty retailers and present their receipt at the Centre Management office to claim their tote bag.

Centre Manager Angela Liversage says, ‘A lot of people have had to rethink their plans at last-minute this year, so if they’re staying home, we want to encourage the community to get in early and support the local businesses with their Christmas shopping.’

Over the last seven years, Mount Sheridan Plaza has grown into one of the major shopping destinations in Cairns catering for the expanding population in the southern suburbs.  Mount Sheridan Plaza want to support our local businesses and families as much as possible over Christmas and helping people be a little bit more prepared is just one way, we can do this.
