June/July School Holidays

Mount Sheridan Plaza will once again run their popular School Holiday program from Monday June 26 to Friday July 3 2017. The 2 activities planned are a great way to grow self-confidence, make new friends, gain some independence and resilience whilst giving kids an opportunity to most of all have fun.

From Monday 26th June to Saturday July 1 visit the Build A Bear Party Workshops in centre court, enjoy 4 party sessions daily each with 30 people per hour at 9:00am-10:00am, 10:30am-11:30am, 12noon-1:00pm and 1:30pm-2:30pm. Children of all ages will have the opportunity to bring their own teddy bear to life for $10. This magical experience involves the child helping to stuff the bear, inserting a piece of love and a naming ceremony complete with birth certificate.

Build A Bear Workshops are a great way to give kids a unique experience hear in Far North Queensland.

Centre Manager, Angela Liversage said, “For some kids, the activities are the first time children have had the opportunity to create their own plush toy to take home. We see the many benefits when the children interact with each other, the sharing, building life skills, working together and team building.

Visit the centre from Monday 3rd to Friday 7th July to see Nickleby the Magician with 2 free shows daily at 10:00am and 12noon. For the past 15 years Nickleby The Magician has been touring with his unique performances. After sold out theatre shows, TV appearances & winning multiple first place awards, Nick’s action packed performance is highly entertaining & combines illusions, world record escapes & comedy. He is known for his ability to make people and objects appear and disappear.

Nick was trained & inspired by his father who has been touring as a full-time magician for 40 years, Nick says “He is the luckiest guy in the world being able to do what he enjoys most for a job, making people laugh, having fun & creating that sense of wonder.”

Every child receives a magic wand and gets to enjoy the colouring in competition for the chance to WIN their very own magic kit!
