Mount Sheridan Plaza Community Markets brings together local and leading produces on selected Sunday’s throughout the year with the first market this Sunday February 10 from 9am-3pm.  Focusing on love, food, family entertainment and fun, offering the people of Cairns an opportunity to buy fresh seasonal produce and homemade gifts for that special someone prior to Valentine’s Day. Patrons will enjoy fantastic local entertainment and access a full assortment of art, craft, food and produce.

Marketing and Customer Experience Manager Kay Judd said, “This is the first market of the year and is one of my favourite times of the year, bursting with incredible produce to share with friends and family.”

“The Market is the perfect time to buy your produce, plants and handmade items directly from the producer at its freshest, and why not top up with last minute gifts for Valentine’s. In my mind this is an opportunity that cannot be missed.”

The Mount Sheridan Plaza Community Markets will no longer commence every second and fourth Sunday and will feature on the following dates only, February 10, May 12, July 14, September 8 and October 13.   Following on from the success of the Christmas Markets over the past five years, the Plaza will continue to feature the annual Christmas Market on Sunday December 8 and 15 as an essential part of their community program.

Once the shopping is done, visitors can grab a bite to eat from Eat Street or the food court which now conveniently has free WiFi. Enjoy The Coffee Club, Sushi Train, The Chicken Spot, Subway and more.

Entry to the Mount Sheridan Plaza Community Market is free of charge.

The fun and discovery continues as you wander through over 35 handmade art and craft stalls along with locally grown fresh produce. Market‐goers can also choose from a near endless variety of original, vintage & recycled clothing, bric‐a‐brac, beauty products and health alternatives, antiques & collectables, tools (old and new), plants of many species and handmade furniture.
